What is God Rock?
God Rock is a Saturday night ministry out of Port Coquitlam that began in the late 90’s. God Rock exists to provide hope to men and women from all walks of life through clear teaching from God’s Word and by providing connection points to local churches. Over the past 20 years and in partnership with a local recovery program God Rock has played a significant role in the lives of many who wrestle with addictions of various kinds.
What do God Rock Meetings Look Like?
God Rock holds a service every Saturday night at 7pm that is open to any and all! The evening begins with a time of worship through music and signing, followed by teaching from the Bible, and closes with an invitation to receive prayer for anything going on in life.
God Rock also hosts a mid-week small group to encourage and draw out further practical application from the Gospel shared the week before.
What is Westside’s Role in God Rock?
In April of 2016, after a one year lay-internship at Westside, longtime “Westsiders,” BJ and Jessica Chursinoff, began to oversee the ongoing needs of this ministry. The Chursinoffs live in Coquitlam and have been in constant prayer for God's guidance in ministering to those in their own community.
Over the last several years the leadership at Westside, along with them, has been praying for opportunities to support further Gospel proclamation in the tri-cities. We believe that, by God’s grace, partnership with the Chursinoffs and the ministry of God Rock will be another step in that direction!
